A pilot project with the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan to digitize artefacts for documentation and educational purposes. Using photogrammetry techniques, we captured and digitized the details of the ancestral tablet of Mr Lim Bo Seng's family. This is part of a documentation and archival process done before the tablet is enshrined within the family hall, after which the tablet will no longer be removed.

Through a process of integrating detail photography and digitally generated 3D model, we create an accurate virtual replica of the tablet down to the details and texture.

Through this digital process, we open up the virtual tablet to be an online artefact that may be examined by viewers all over the world, without damaging the tablet or disturbing the family's ancestral rituals; enabling further outreach and for distant family members and clans to reconnect digitally.
