Hop aboard the National Museum of Singapore’s ‘flight’ to discover Singapore with Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s – 2000s, a travel-themed exhibition that traces the evolution of Singapore’s identity as a popular travel destination, through the eyes of those who arrived at our shores from the past to the present.
The exhibition runs from 27 May 2023 - 25 Feb 2024, at the National Museum of Singapore.
Begin your experience by playing the pre-exhibition web game. Journey across Singapore island to find and collect iconic memorabilia. Search for items and clues hidden among the beautiful illustrations of iconic locations in Singapore. Find them to unlock more levels and receive a special reward upon completing the game. Have fun!
Visit the main gallery, enhanced with interactive multimedia and immersive audio-visual experiences. The gallery is inspired by travel guides of the past, presenting Singapore as a tourist destination in the 1980s.
Travel around the island and revisit various nostalgic artefacts, including the iconic analogue flip board previously located at Changi Airport, as well as set of the history-making Singapore Airlines’ A380 prestigious Suites Cabin seat.
Use technology from the past to present, ranging from barcode scanners to touchscreens, and unlock bonus digital content in the gallery.
