Hop aboard the National Museum of Singapore’s ‘flight’ to discover Singapore with Now Boarding: Experiencing Singapore through Travel, 1800s – 2000s, a travel-themed exhibition that traces the evolution of Singapore’s identity as a popular travel destination, through the eyes of those who arrived at our shores from the past to the present.

This exhibition is designed by FARM, with the multimedia segments produced by Vouse. Visit four thematic sections aligned to the themes of transport, accommodation, food and beverage, sights and shopping; the exhibition showcases a specially curated selection of ubiquitous material and artefacts evoking powerful memories of travel to and from Singapore.

The exhibition runs from 27 May - 25 Feb 2024, at the National Museum of Singapore.

Now Boarding, Exhibition

Visit the main gallery, enhanced with interactive multimedia and immersive audio-visual experiences. The gallery is inspired by travel guides of the past, presenting Singapore as a tourist destination in the 1980s.

Travel around the island and revisit various nostalgic artefacts, including the iconic analogue flip board previously located at Changi Airport, as well as set of the history-making Singapore Airlines’ A380 prestigious Suites Cabin seat.
