Bukit Batok Library re-opens on 27 March 2026 with a new and revamped experience. As a pilot project, the regional library features a special permanent exhibition on the history and culture of Bukit Batok with a modern twist. The gallery design is inspired by the natural granite landscape of Xiao Guilin, and guided by immersive soundscapes recorded at Bukit Batok Nature Park.
This exhibition together with the multimedia experience is designed by Vouse, with collaborations with various artists, such as sound artist Mervin Wong to create an immersive and meditative experience. A series of interactive stations in the gallery also allow visitors to listen to various audio content and even submit their own memories of Bukit Batok to add to the collective experience.
